English teacher moonlighting as school newspaper coach. I like words. The picture below is of plants called succulents. I like that word: succulents.

Extra Credit?

Don't even ASK if you haven't tried doing regularly assigned work.

Don’t even ASK if you haven’t tried doing regularly assigned work.

Extra Credit is probably not going to happen. Why? Time!

Like most teachers here at IKE, I have about 11-13 dozen students most years and that’s a multitude of teaching, writing, discussing, listening, and learning to manage. Add in a couple of meetings and sponsoring a club and you see how my schedule starts to look as crazy as yours. If you attend regularly and try–really try–on every assignment — you CANNOT FAIL.

Be sure to use the “Search Category” feature on the right to see if any posts have been tagged with “Extra Credit” because these opportunities come up occasionally. Just contact me if you see something that interests you. Occasionally, I will hear about a play or movie or lecture or some other event that I would like to share with my students. When I do, I offer extra credit for proof-of-attendance and a well written reflection paper.

And YOU? What do YOU have to say?
